OPTICAL ILLUSIONS AND BRAIN - TWISTING TOYS
Look directly at the dot in the middle of the circle. First, you'll observe that the area where the circle is absent will transform into a green circle (what!?). Finally, you'll only be able to see that one single circle.

What: The Lilac Chaser is probably my all - time favorite optical illusion, mainly because it combines numerous different illusions into one astonishing creation. It was initially developed by Jeremy Hinton in 2005 and has circulated widely on the internet many times! To make this illusion work, all you truly have to do is concentrate on the dot in the middle, and then one effect after another will strike you. The first effect I notice is the afterimage effect, where the empty part in the circle suddenly shows a circle of the opposite color. So, with its initial settings, there will be a green circle... that in itself is amazing. After that, you'll experience the Troxler Fade, and the gradient circles should suddenly vanish. For me, it often seems like the green circle swallows them up and they're gone. After that, of all things, the green circle will keep moving in a circle... if you stare at this for a really long time and then look away, you'll still see green. It's truly incredible.
How To: Here, you can change the colors and the number of dots. You'll be able to observe that the inverse disc can more or less display the entire range of colors.
