OPTICAL ILLUSIONS AND BRAIN - TWISTING TOYS
Move your head back and forth while looking towards the center, and you'll feel as if the glow is... well, expanding!

What: This illusion, crafted by Alan Stubbs in 2006, has the interesting effect of a light that seems to grow (or a shadow if you customize the colors above) when you move your head towards and away from the image. It also gives the impression that you've forgotten your glasses and are trying to read what's on the screen, or that you're like a chicken.
How To: Sit directly in front of the screen and move your head back and forth, similar to a bird. When you get closer, the gradient inside will seem to expand, and when you move away, it will shrink back. You can play around with a few settings here to observe different effects. It works really well with a dark gradient, and the contrasting colors can result in a stronger or weaker effect.
